This is what my husband said to the woman on the
phone when he called to cancel our cable.
Although I'm sure she had a book filled with pages
of responses to various scenarios, reasons for us
to keep all the channels and to upgrade to even more,
she had no response for that.
We've been trying to keep the little dude as TV free
as possible as his little mind grows and develops.
We used to have the TV on all the time, background
noise during the day or just flipping it on automatically
at night as we plopped down on the sofa like zombies.
I never thought I could go without it. But things
have changed. I'm seeing the world through new eyes.
There's not much free "adult" time and, when there is,
TV is usually not the first thing on my list.
We've been spending lots of time outside with the
little guy, going to the park and taking walks.
It's something I've always wanted to do but never
made time for. Suddenly I have the best reason in
the world.
yay! :)
