Jerred got me the coolest gift ever for
Mother's Day - a sweet little point and shoot
camera. This may seem like a strange gift
for a professional photographer, but it's
something I've been talking about getting
for years. And now, with the arrival of
cute little LMZ, the need for a camera
at all times is even more important.
I still plan on taking "my" camera
out sometimes for trips to the park or whenever
I feel the urge, but it's so freeing to be
able to throw this camera in my diaper bag and
always have it without worrying about the added weight of
my "big gun" or scratching an expensive lens.
Plus it's got a great video camera and self
portrait mode, not to mention a really fun touch
screen on back that lets you "x" out a photo when
you want to delete it (J knew I would LOVE that).
The photos above and below were all taken with the
point and shoot. I think they look pretty good.
Having a camera so small is allowing me to loosen
up a bit and have more fun without worrying about
losing or damaging expensive gear. Definitely
one of those thoughtful gifts that keeps on giving . . .
