Today was a day for stepping back,
Letting go of all the stress of websites
And marketing, and just getting back
To a little bit of joy downtown,
Holding hands with the one
Who loves and inspires me,
Welcoming the beginnings of spring,
Even though they come
Much too slowly.
Enjoying the comfort of this city
Like an old pair of jeans ~
The beauty of sidewalks and history,
Perfect beneath a sky of
Clouds and hide-and-seek sunshine.
Today I felt alive and ready
For whatever these days
Have to offer.
